Information about local hotels can be found here. The Four Points Sheraton and Residence Inn by Marriott are both conveniently situated 4-star hotels that are a short walk from the talks and posters. The Lord Nelson is slightly farther away but still within a 10 minute walk. Booking early is strongly recommended as Halifax is a popular summer tourist destination!
Besides hotels and the university residence (see below), AirBnB, VRBO and other short term rentals are also very popular in Halifax. For convenience, a booking in the following areas is recommended: Downtown, South End, Spring Garden, Waterfront. University Residence:
The symposium venue is just a few minute walk from a Dalhousie University residence building available during the summer at discounted rates. Students, postdoctoral researchers and faculty are all welcome to use these rooms. Please use reservation code IRIS24 during reservation.
