Getting here and around:
Flight: In the summer months, Halifax Stanfield Airport is well-served with non-stop flights to many cities in the Americas, and to London and Frankfurt in Europe. There is taxi, Uber, or bus service from the airport to the city.

Train: Prefer to take a scenic train ride? Halifax is the eastern-most stop in the VIA Rail system. Connections to US trains can be made in Toronto and Montreal.

Halifax Weather: Mid June to mid September daytime temperatures are in the 20 to 25 °C (70 to 80 °F) range though temperatures can reach 30 to 32 °C (86 to 90F) with humidity.

Walk: Halifax is a very walkable city, and the conference location (downtown Halifax) has a 99/100 “Walk Score” with many bus routes servicing the area and ferries to go across into Dartmouth.

Car: Car rentals can be picked up from the airport or other locations in the city. Taxis or rideshare app Uber is also available in Halifax.

Nova Scotia:
Summer is a beautiful time to be in Nova Scotia, whether you like beaches, forests, or camping. Use this opportunity to visit the highlands of Cape Breton, one of the hundreds of beaches that dot the southern shore, or go inland into Kejimkujik National Park, or go past the park into the fruit and wine country of Nova Scotia: the Annapolis Valley. All tourist destinations in Nova Scotia are a few hours drive from Halifax and there are numerous shuttle buses going to landmarks such as Peggy’s Cove and Grand Pre.
